Located on 40-acres in Covington, Louisiana, Z.A. Ranch was established in 2020 by Gina and Mike Alder.
Raised in Folsom, Louisiana, Mike knew he always wanted to have “a place to call home” back where he grew up. With deep roots in this region, Mike’s late father (PapaCha) was a well-known and beloved preacher, teacher and friend, Z.A. Ranch was created to commemorate family, gather, support the community, and relish in the beauty of nature.
Our Story.
Soon after Gina and Mike wed, during a visit back to Louisiana, they decided it was time to find their dream ranch. With a 1,000-acre forest bordering their Covington property, you’ll find the Main House and Guest House set back from a catfish-filled pond and a tree-lined entry. The Alders have a love for entertaining, delicious Southern food, pickle-ball, furry and feathery friends, dance parties, and having a place to retreat to from their busy lives (they are based in Los Angeles). Mike and Gina knew they found the perfect place to call home, when they came across this perfect property.
Since establishing Z.A. Ranch, the Alders have made numerous trips with families, friends and colleagues. Each time thinking of a new way to comfortably accommodate guests, add a Southern flare, enhance the existing property, or provide new activities and experiences for their friends. This is when their vision for sharing the ranch as a rental venue came to fruition.
Their story doesn’t stop here, but for now, the Alders and their family welcome you and your guests … to come stay a while.
